Staking down your pop up awning.
During our very first weekend camping in our brand new Taos it had a screen room that attached to the awning it was early March had been a cool buy great camping weekend out Springmill State park.
We have camped all weekend with no issues and there was not ropes or stakes included in our camper. As we were taking the camper down the wind caught the awning and flipped it up stuck one of the legs straight through the roof. We were sick inside new camper first weekend and damage.
Well looking back it was pretty obvious the awning should have had ropes to stake down to prevent this but ours did not have them installed or in the material.
Well the result was a new roof and insurance claim.
